Mission and Objectives
Our Mission
The Canadian Association of Workers' Advisors and Advocates (CAWAA) was founded in the year 2000. Workers' advisors and advocates across Canada, identified the need to bridge a communication gap among Provincial and Territorial Workers' Advisor/Advocate programs.
CAWAA's mission is to share information and best practices across jurisdictions and explore emerging compensation issues relevant to workers while respecting its member’s distinct Workers' Compensation mandates.
Our Objectives
- to facilitate communication amongst member agencies of the CAWAA;
- to provide a forum to share information and experiences on present and emerging compensation issues;
- to research subjects related to workers' compensation law, policy and related common issues; and
- to share and promote best practices on service delivery.
